About Boucher Naturopathic Clinic

At the CCNM – Boucher Campus teaching clinic, we provide health care for the whole family, supporting the treatment of conditions such as arthritis, diabetes and mental health issues. We offer discounted rates to patients on income assistance, and many extended medical plans cover naturopathic health care. Please check with your plan to determine your coverage.

We regret that we cannot accept patients with active ICBC or WCB claims.
About Dr. Joseph Boucher, ND
Dr. Joseph “Joe” Boucher, ND, was a well-loved naturopathic doctor who lived and practiced in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. He taught and served for years as President and Secretary of National University of Naturopathic Medicine (NUHM) Board of Trustees. Dr. Boucher, ND, served as President of the Association of Naturopathic Physicians of BC and was Secretary for many years. He was a paragon of holistic health and fitness, blending psychology with natural medicines and exercise. While Joe did not live to see this institute’s inception, his example is one we hope our students aspire to uphold.

Team Approach to Your Health Care

We educate future naturopathic doctors. Under the supervision of licensed naturopathic physicians, our clinic interns provide an unparalleled standard of care for our patients.

After a thorough assessment, naturopathic treatments are selected using a holistic approach based on the needs of each patient.
Scope of Practice
Naturopathic doctors in British Columbia:
• Have prescribing authority
• Are licensed to perform minor surgery
• Are trained in medical assessment and diagnosis
• Have similar legal responsibilities as a conventional medical doctor
• Complete a pre-medical bachelor’s degree followed by four years of naturopathic medical education
In BC, naturopathic doctors are authorized to prescribe drugs (with the appropriate certification) and perform minor surgeries that do not involve anesthesia or respiratory assistance.
Regulation
In British Columbia, the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) regulates naturopathic doctors, and oversees standards of practice.
